Getting started
In Flowtomate, you work within an account and a selected project. An account brings together your team and projects, while content and data belong to a project.
Sign in or register through an invitation
An administrator usually grants account access through an invitation. Open the invitation link and follow the steps below.
Create an account if the button is available
If the sign-in page has a “Create account” button, you can register a new account yourself.
- Click “Create account”.
- Fill in “Account name”, Email, “Password”, and “Confirm password”. The password must contain at least 8 characters.
- Click “Create account”.
For example, enter “Acme” in “Account name”. After successful registration, Flowtomate opens an available project in that account. If the button is missing, self-registration is unavailable: ask your account administrator for an invitation.
If you already have an account, enter your email and password, then click “Sign in”. The “Forgot password?” button tells you to contact your account administrator to restore access.
Accept an invitation
- Open the invitation link.
- Sign in to an existing account or register. When registering through an invitation, fill in “Name”, Email, “Password”, and “Confirm password”.
- Check the account on the invitation screen and click “Accept invitation”.
For example, a “For an email” invitation for anna@example.com can only be accepted by an account with that email. After acceptance, Flowtomate opens an available project in the account you were invited to.
If the application shows “The link has expired.” or “The link has already been used.”, ask the administrator to create a new invitation. “You are already a member of this workspace.” means you do not need to accept the link again.
Choose an account and project
Click the name in the “Project” switcher at the top of the sidebar.
- Under “Account”, choose the account you need. Flowtomate opens the first available project in that account.
- Under “Projects”, choose the project you need.
- Click “Create project”, enter a “Project name”, and click “Create project” again. The new project becomes the current project.
For example, switch from the “Acme” account to “Beta” and choose its “Mobile app” project. You will then see that project's content and data.
If you see “No projects available”, ask the account owner to add you to a project. Sidebar items depend on the “View” permission. If an item you need is missing, contact your account administrator.
